ウルトラマンジャック（帰ってきたウルトラマン）

それにしても何故昔のウルトラマンに出てくる鳥系の怪獣はあんなにも強い怪獣が多いのだろうか、偶然私の知っている鳥系の怪獣が強いだけかもしれないが、ベムスターも、もちろんそうだし、ウルトラセブンのガッツ星人もそう、後は、ウルトラマンタロウに出てくるバードンも有名だが、今回はウルトラマンジャックについての話なので深く掘り下げないでおく。

ジャックの変身プロセスの都合上の発展からの、定番の演出がある、主人公の身に危険が迫って変身する場合で、戦闘機から煙が出て墜落直前に変身して戦闘機は大破した時、ジャックの戦闘終了後、隊員達はジャックの正体が主人公だという事をしらないので、行方不明となった主人公の名を隊長が叫ぶ、それに主人公が応え、最後の決めゼリフが「ウルトラマンが助けてくれたんです。」である。

秋といえば、連想するフレーズの１つが世間的にはスポーツの秋ですね、日本でオリンピックの開催が決まった事もあって度々オリンピックの話題を耳にしますが、オリンピックといえばスポーツマンシップに則って国同士の誇りをかけた、スポーツの祭典ですよね。


ガンダムでいえば、スポーツマンシップに則っとった国同士の闘いといえば、個人的にＧガンダムを思い出します。


というわけで今回はＧガンダムについて語ってゆきたいと思います。
Gガンダムの世界ではガンダム同士の闘いをガンダムファイトと言い、そのパイロット達はガンダムファイターと称される独特の世界観で形成されており、ガンダムファイトには、一定のルールがあり（相手のコクピットは狙ってはいけないなど）、そのルールがあるからこそ、なおさら独特の世界観が引き立てられるのだ。


オープニングの地球上を丸ごと闘いのリングに見立てる演出も素晴らしい、あのワンシーンで、おおまかな世界観が理解出来るであろう、主人公のドモンのドモンの目的は、実の兄が乗るデビルガンダムを倒す事、デビルガンダムのＤＧ細胞は、他のファイターに感染し、心と体を崩壊させてゆく、まるでバブル経済崩壊後の目に見えない恐怖が形となって現れたようだ。

仮面ライダーBLACKといえば、主人公のBLACKはもちろん、敵役ライダーとして登場したシャドームーンの存在も外せない。この二人は仮面ライダーBLACKの作品の中で重要な存在であるだけでなく、カッコイイのである。

自然素材でできた真っ黒な皮ジャンやライダースーツを全身にまとっているかのように思わせるBLACK、そしてそれに対抗するように、人工的な文明を連想させる銀色のスーツに身を包んだシャドームーン、シャドームーンが手に持つサタンサーベルはまさに二人の赤い血塗られた宿命の象徴ではないのだろうか。

悪役ライダーやライバルの仮面ライダーは、後の、平成の仮面ライダーシリーズにも登場するが、シャドームーンこそ主役級の悪役ライダーの原点であり、真の悪役ライダーであるだろう。

日本のロボットアニメの始まりは自律型ロボットの鉄腕アトムや、リモコンで遠隔操作するタイプの鉄人２８号だった、だが１９７０年代に自動車やオートバイといった、人が乗り込んで操作するタイプの機械の普及に伴い、そうした社会背景の中で、ロボットアニメも、人が乗り込んで操縦するマジンガーＺや、ガンダムが登場し、ガンダムでは、従来のロボットという概念を覆し、モビルスーツという名の新しい概念が形成されたのである。


ガンダムは新しいロボットアニメ挑戦であった、作品の内容は大人向けの要素を含み、リアルな人間ドラマや、モビルスーツや戦争に対してのパイロット達の苦悩や葛藤を描き出す事、当時からすればそれはまさしく革命なのである。


革命後、ガンダムは新しい作品へと移りかわってゆき、時代も新しい時代へと流れていく。そうした世界の中で我々の現代の日常生活も、あらゆる物がアナログからデジタルへと移り変わっていく。

ウルトラセブン

先週の仮面ライダードライブは主人公が敵の毒攻撃でピンチに陥りましたが、ベガスシフトカーを使って、７７７を出すことによってピンチを脱出しましたね。ところで、７といえばウルトラセブン。

というわけで今回はウルトラセブンについて語りたいと思います。

ウルトラセブンは一番最初に放映されたウルトラマンとは打って変わって、よりサスペンスやシリアス要素が深く、見る者を独特の世界観へと導いてゆく作品である。

本来、ヒーロー番組は子供向けに制作されるものであるが、ウルトラセブンはその概念を飛び越えて「ウルトラセブン」という名の１つのドラマとして完成されているのだ。

劇中のドラマは見るものに対して強いメッセージを訴えかけてくる、それ故幼い子供の頃や、一度見ただけでは作品全ての内容を理解出来ない事も多いのである。

特にメトロン星人やギエロン星獣の回は秀悦で、今になってみると、とても考えさせられるものである、そこには人間の業や、人間の弱みの部分を狙った宇宙人の策略、また業によって生み出されてしまった怪獣、そして全てを知っていて一人葛藤し苦しみながらも宇宙人でありながら愛する地球や地球人のために戦うウルトラセブンが描かれている。

同じ宇宙人でありながら、意見が食い違ったり、地球を侵略しようとする侵略者達に憤りを感じ、また時には、兵器が原因で怪獣を生み出してしまったにもかかわらず、よりさらに強力な兵器を開発する事に固執する隊員たちと対立し、その戦いの末、物語の最後で映し出される皮肉混じりの映像やナレーションは幼い子供でも何かしら心に引っ掛かるものや残るものであった。

ウルトラセブンの戦いは今もなお続き、平成になってオリジナルビデオが発売されたり、最近のウルトラマンゼロの映画にも、当時の俳優の方がモロボシダンとしてウルトラセブンに変身している。

そう、モロボシダンとウルトラセブンは一心同体なのだ、彼が生き続ける限りウルトラセブンの戦いは終わらない。

先日、名残り惜しくも最終回を迎えた仮面ライダー鎧武ですが、早くも最新の仮面ライダードライブと共に劇場で復活し、映画公開が決まりましたね。


今の仮面ライダードライブは、バイクには乗らずに車に乗り込み、仮面ライダーの体本体が乗り物やそれらのパーツで構成されている感じで、映画公開記念のプロトドライブのＤＶＤも出ると話題が尽きないですが、今回はその元々の原点である仮面ライダー１号について語っていこうと思います。


仮面ライダーの元々の原作者といえば、石ノ森章太郎というのは有名な話である、仮面ライダーは正義のヒーローであるが、悪の組織によって人間離れした怪人的な力に改造されたその存在は一歩間違えば悪になり、そこに葛藤し、もがき苦しみながらも戦い抜いてゆく孤独なヒーローなのだ。


悪の組織ショッカーは人間を文明の力を使って改造した怪人をあの手この手を使って送り出してくる。そしてそれに対して自然をモチーフにしたバッタの戦士がたち向かう。


そうこれは、文明と自然との戦いなのだ、時代の流れと共に様々な新しい文明が登場しまた開発され我々の社会の中へ入り込んでくる、人々の暮らしを豊かにしたり世の中を便利にしたりするものであるが、時にそれは、場合によっては自然環境を破壊したり脅威となる場合がある。


その流れの中で巻き込まれてしまった人々や、それに抗う者、また、破壊するもの、それぞれの戦いは後に続く仮面ライダーBLACK RXまで続けられたが、一度昭和シリーズは終わりを迎える事になる。


その後仮面ライダークウガが始まることで、平成仮面ライダーシリーズとして復活し、現在も車をモチーフとした仮面ライダードライブが新しい世界を走り続けている。

初代ウルトラマン

季節も移り変わり、空の空気も澄んできて冬へと向かう季節、遥か彼方に存在するであろうＭ７８星雲まで見渡せそうだとおもいながら、夜空にまぶしく光る星々に思いを寄せる今日のこの頃、巷ではウルトラマンギンガの映画が来年公開決定したりとウルトラマンの話題が出て来たのでウルトラマンについて語ろうと思います。


最新のウルトラマンはウルトラマンギンガだが、その原点は初代ウルトラマンである。
今や誰もが認めるヒーローの原点がそこには存在していた。


戦後、復興後の高度経済成長期に、産業や工業の進歩によって世界をかえんとする人々から発せられる爆発的なエネルギーを解放するがの如く、ウルトラマンは誕生するのである。


前番組のウルトラＱのスリルやサスペンス要素を引き継ぎ、巨大変身ヒーローがＴＶ画面いっぱいに所狭しと暴れまわる姿は当時のお茶の間を賑わせた。


前番組のウルトラＱは、科学特捜隊や地球防衛軍的な兵器などが出てくる場合もあるが、どちらかと言えば、宇宙人や侵略者、怪獣などが主役で放映当時は白黒だったのでより一層、シリアスやサスペンスな要素が強く見える、対してウルトラマンは絶対的な主役のヒーローの存在としてウルトラマンが存在しており、更にそのウルトラマンや科学特捜隊の戦闘機が縦横無尽に飛び回ることでエンターテイメント性も強くなっているのである。


ウルトラマンのボディーカラーは赤と銀だ、そして胸には青いカラータイマー。
赤は絶対的な力と正義の象徴、銀は鉄鋼、宇宙を思わせる、そして青いカラータイマーは希望の光、それに対して遮る怪獣。

初代ウルトラマンは新たな時代の革命と共にそこに絶対的な力や希望があると信じて色んなものと戦いながら時代と共につき進んで行った一種の象徴ではないだろうか。
